We are in prime tomato season. All varieties are coming in strong and this year's crop is tasty.
Whether you're interested in cherries, heirloom or hybrid, they are in plentiful supply.
As mentioned before, are first batch of corn was destroyed by the winds of Isaias. The second batch, which is now starting to come in, was about 50% destroyed and the last batch is looking good right now. I will be putting a limited amount of corn up for sale this week, so I ask you to limit what you order. In order for maximum enjoyment, please order just enough to whet your appetite. Hopefully a larger crop will be available in coming weeks. Our sweet corn is so much tastier and sweeter than the pasty starch they force on you at grocery stores or a good many of farm stands. I would advise you to try steaming the corn for 5 minutes and you're done. There is no need to use salt or butter. See if you agree.
This is the last week of our 10:00 to 1:00 pickup hours this Thursday. We will need to have pickup hours later in the afternoon until the end of the season starting next week and beyond.
Thanks again for all the positive comments about the vegetables. I'm not doing this to grow rich, but to give the community a healthy alternative to what is out there. It really does mean a lot to me to see you're enjoying the work I put into making the experience a positive one for you.
Enjoy the harvest,
