June 6th 2017 CSA Pickup

Here's a gentle reminder that pickup will be the same time, 3:30-6:30 Tuesday. Please bring your SRF CSA box for your weekly refill. Your box will have more loose leaf lettuce mixed with baby spinach, several heads of lettuce, radishes, arugula, some sprigs of oregano, and Swiss chard. For those not familiar with Swiss chard, it is similar to spinach, but more tender. Like any other green, it's great sautéed with olive oil and garlic, eaten raw, or even added to a pasta or scrambled eggs. Swiss chard is a very good source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as magnesium, potassium, and iron. People have been enjoying the goat cheese quite a bit. For at least the next few weeks, we will be selling soft goat cheese for $6 for an 8-ounce container. Remember we also have our honey for $8 bottle, and depending on the supply and demand, we have organic, free-range eggs for $4 a dozen. Let us know ahead of time if you would like any of these products. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Mark
