As we progress into the summer, the produce changes as well.
This week, the two main additions to your basket are bush beans and napa (Chinese) cabbage.
I'm sure you know what you can do with bush beans, so I'll focus on the napa cabbage. Napa cabbage is a mild variety of a white cabbage which has a delicate taste, but it's also versatile. I like making an old fashioned cole slaw with it, but it is also excellent in cooked dishes.
We will have some new additions to your basket this week. Along with what you received last week, you will be receiving radicchio, scapes and beets.

Summer squash is coming in and hopefully it will be around for a while. When selecting any seed, we first look to the taste of the vegetable. After that, we look at the disease resistance, durability and duration of each seed type.
This year we are growing Dunja Squash which is a dark-green, straight zucchini. Classic taste and perfect size.
Next up, we have Costata Romanesco which is a traditional Italian heirloom with a superior flavor.
As June begins, you will see some new and interesting vegetables coming in as well.
It's still lettuce season, so there is no fear of you running out of salads this week. In fact, if you're looking for something different to do with lettuce, may I suggest "Lettuce Wraps." Our favorite recipe is taken from PF Chang's . The large Butterhead Lettuce heads are perfect for these wraps.
